Join a work party, visit a sustainable food fair, watch a film festival, participate in a 5K run, walk in a parade or just get outside with friends and family! These community events are fun ways to give back to our lovely planet.
Sustainable Food Fair
Thursday, April 18 | 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Combine your love for food and sustainability. Come to Western Washington University’s food fair where local food vendors compete for the best sustainable dish! Admission price allows attendees to try five dishes and vote on their favorites.
Earth Day Work Party
Saturday, April 20 | 9 a.m. – Noon
Grab your work boots, friends, family and fondness for planting trees and head over to Tenmile Creek! First 200 people will receive a free, limited edition t-shirt. Tools, gloves, light refreshments and coffee will be provided.
Earth Day Run
Saturday, April 20 | 9:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.
In the spirit of Earth Day, throw some green on and get active. One tree will be planted for each finisher. Finishers can visit the potting station afterwards to learn about native trees and take home their own native sapling. Bring your old running shoes, they will be recycled and donated through the More Foundation Group.
Ninth Annual Earth Day Parade & Festival
Saturday, April 20
Parade at 1 p.m. | Festival at 2 p.m.
Walk, bike or take public transit to Vancouver’s annual Earth Day parade. Following the parade, enjoy music, speakers and food trucks at Grandview Park. Make sure to show off your environmentally-friendly costume and reusable water bottle!
Earth Day Celebration & Clean Up
Monday, April 22 | 10 a.m. – Noon
Join Boundary Bay Brewery for a clean-up of South Bay Trail and enjoy $2 off lunch during their beer week.
Earth Day Wild & Scenic Film Festival
Monday, April 22 | 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Grab a ticket and come celebrate our planet on the big screen. Beautiful cinematography and first-rate storytelling give inspiration and hope for a more positive future between the earth and human communities.
Snohomish Earth Day Celebration
Tuesday, April 23 | 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Get educated and win eco-friendly prizes at Snohomish’s Earth Day celebration, specifically focused on waste reduction. Visit food trucks, partake in interactive booths and take the plastic pledge to reduce consumption of single-use plastic items.
NSEA Potting Party
Saturday, April 27 | 9 a.m. – Noon
Get in on the last spring work party! Pot trees and shrubs in preparation for future planting alongside salmon baring streams. Tools, gloves, light refreshments and coffee will be provided.
