1. Alpine Meadows
This family-friendly farm is located along the south fork of the Nooksack River Valley on Highway 9, providing a scenic drive on your way to a great selection of U-cut or potted trees. Customers can look forward to a decorated barn heated with a wood stove where wreaths, cedar garlands and tree stands are all for sale. Free tree seedlings of your choice also come with the purchase of a U-cut, pre-cut or live potted Christmas
2. Big Lake Trees
This Christmas tree haven features a 70-acre forest that is home to around 15,000 trees. Since its founding in 1973 by Bob and Polly Winkelman, Big Lake Trees has been an entirely family-run business, giving it local charm and flavor. Customers have plenty of variety to choose from, including (but not limited to) Noble Fir, Grand Fir, Scotch Pine and Norway Spruce.
3. River’s Edge U-Cut
River’s Edge U-Cut, located in view of the magnificent Mount Baker on the Nooksack River, planted its first trees back in 1986. Today, 22,000 fir trees of all heights and varieties are available. River’s Edge offers a pre-selection service for anyone looking to avoid the holiday rush.
4. Lenning Farms Berry
Barn Lenning Farms has been a prominent grower and harvester of a variety of crops in Skagit Valley for fi ve generations. Behind their famous Berry Barn lies 15 acres of Christmas trees to pick from. Families can choose their ideal tree, sip on hot chocolate and shop for gifts. Kids can even visit with Santa himself every weekend during the holiday season.
5. Triple E Tree Farm
This family business really is a family affair – you’re likely to find one of three generations helping out on the farm at any time. Five acres of trees – Douglas Firs, Grand Firs and Nobles – from 4 feet to 12 feet (plus a few of the “Charlie Brown” variety) offer plenty of choices. Free candy canes for the kids, along with wreaths and metal art to purchase from the Ferndale FFA club, add to the holiday cheer.
