Waterworks Gallery, in cooperation with Deryl Walls, Executor of the Estate of Guy Anderson, are pleased to present Fragments – a collection of work including monotypes, drawings, woodblocks, and paintings. Guy Anderson was a member of the Northwest School of art whose members included Morris Graves, Mark Tobey and Kenneth Callahan. Guy Anderson was renown for his mythic and symbolic paintings, with the human figure the perennial genesis of his timeless and inspired works.
The works selected for this show, Fragments represents work from many periods in his life. They will include everything from the large magnificent symbolist paintings, to the delicate woodblock and drawing, ultimately showcasing the artist works in multiple and diverse mediums.
Reception on Friday, October 6th from 4 – 7pm.
On Saturday, October 7th join Deryl Walls, representing the Estate of Guy Anderson on a walk thru the show sharing insights into the works. 11.30 – 1.30 pm
