Jewelry is one of the most challenging types of products to photograph, yet a good photo of your piece of jewelry can make a significant difference in how interested buyers are and just how much they are willing to pay. Simply put, if you are trying to make the most money possible from the sale of your jewelry, you MUST have excellent photos. This introductory course was created so you can take professional looking photos of your jewelry in your own home studio. This 4-part beginners class will focus on table-top photography with lighting and a tripod. First, you will think about what kinds of photos you need. Then we’ll talk about what makes a good photo and a bad one, what styles of photos you’re shooting for and what options you have for equipment within your budget. The remaining classes will start with a brief lesson on technique followed by hands-on practice in your own mini-studio. Whether you’re shooting with a smartphone or a digital camera, you can get great photographs of your work. Prerequisites: Adults 18 years or older. Course fee: $250.00. Instructor: Heather Alvis. May 6, 12, 20 & 27, 2018. For more details and to register, visit us online at:
